Medical-grade skincare differs from over-the-counter products in one fundamental way: the concentration and bioavailability of active ingredients. Products available in pharmacies and department stores are formulated to be safe for unsupervised use, which means active concentrations are kept low. Medical-grade products — dispensed through authorised practitioners — contain clinically effective concentrations of actives that produce measurable, documented results.
At Skintap, skincare is prescribed following a consultation and is always tailored to your skin type, concerns and treatment plan. Nurse Heather will not recommend products you don't need. All skincare products are dispensed excluding prescription-only medicines unless a separate prescription consultation has been conducted.

Medik8 is a British-founded, science-led skincare brand built on the CSA philosophy — Vitamin C in the morning, SPF always, Vitamin A at night. Their products are formulated with high-quality actives at clinically effective concentrations, with a strong emphasis on skin barrier health and long-term skin improvement. Nurse Heather is a certified Medik8 practitioner.

Obagi is a physician-dispensed skincare system with one of the most extensive clinical evidence bases in medical aesthetics. The Obagi Nu-Derm System is the gold standard for treating hyperpigmentation, melasma and photoageing. Nurse Heather is a certified Obagi practitioner and can prescribe Obagi Rx products containing tretinoin where clinically appropriate.

ZO products are formulated with high-potency retinol, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents, and are available exclusively through authorised medical professionals. Nurse Heather is a ZO Skin Health certified practitioner.
