My Story

Qualified, Honest, Experienced

I'm Heather — a qualified nurse, NMC registrant, and the founder of Skintap. I qualified as a nurse in 2006 and have spent my career working in clinical environments, developing the medical knowledge, patient assessment skills and clinical judgement that underpin everything I do at Skintap.

I hold a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from one of the UK's leading providers, and I am a member of the JCCP (Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners) and BAMAN (British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses). I am insured with Hamilton Fraser Cosmetic Insurance.

Skintap's ethos is simple: "sometimes the best treatment is no treatment." I am committed to honest, evidence-based practice. I will never recommend a treatment you don't need, and I will always tell you if I think something isn't right for you. My goal is to build a collaborative, long-term relationship with each patient — understanding your skin, your goals and your life.

I only offer treatments that can be provided safely by a medical professional — treatments with a genuine clinical evidence base, using products that are CE-marked and licensed for use in the UK. Patient safety is always my first priority.
